Clan: Tremere
Effective Generation: 9th
Apparent Age: 25
Concept: Soldier/Enforcer
Physical Description:
Darkan Krvovic, originally of Serbian descent, is
6'2" tall, and has a slight build that belies his speed and
strength. He prefers dark suits and sunglasses to shield his eyes
from others.
Background:
Darkan grew up in the poverty of a Serbian village under the rule of the Osmanian empire. When he was 10 his family was expected to sent their child to Turkey, where he had to be educated as an Osman, but they refused. As a reaction, the Osmans razed the small farm and killed the family with only Darkan surviving.
On their journey through the Balkans, they met a group of mercenaries which took them with them. During these days Darkan adopted the group as some kind of replacement family and started to learn the art of war. After several years in their service he managed to raise the social ladder and finally became leader of the pack. He turned the group into a small disciplined army with a clear structure and a reputation for their reliability, as he always felt the urge for structure and clear
organization. One day his men's service was called by a Bulgarian Duke, who was in fact a Tremere. Impressed by the abilities and intelligence of Dorkan he decided to embrace him, so that he had a strong arm to protect him and to do the dirty work. After the embrace Darkan had the greatest difficulties to understand the ways of the occult, as he was a rational man and a non - believer of the supernatural. His efforts on the supernatural were thus
focused on those regions which were tangible, so he took the Path of the flames. He also made the mercenaries a stationary army of his
sire's land, sending them out where excessive force was needed, especially against the Tzimice threat.
During the years Darkan's reputation reached other chantries and they started to rely on his services, too. Up till now he is a renown "Problem Fixer" of the Tremere, sent out where it is needed to lent a helping hand. Darkan transferred the
loyalty he had felt for his mercenaries to the Tremere, taking them as a family. Not only because of this natural
loyalty he keeps on doing the dirty work for his clan, but also because he believes in
Organization and Discipline. To him these were the main reasons for the Tremere`s
success and so it is his duty to guarantee his "families" further
success.
The reason why he was sent to New Orleans is obvious: The Tremere are
under heavy attack and it is Mr. Mort's (as he is called now) duty to bring back order in the decimated ranks of the Tremere, crush their enemies and to increase the Tremere`s influence in the city. |
