[The scene opens
up with a shot of a tall young man, maybe in his late twenties, walking down
the streets of Chicago, Illinois. The man has long dark hair, tied together
behind his back in a very slick looking pony tail. His face is rugged and
a full goatee covers his chin. His eyes are dark and very sad. The man is
wearing a long dark coat and casual black clothes underneath it. This dangerous
looking fella is the man known as...
Signore Balzaretti
He keeps on walking
down the streets of the HWA hometown, it's cold and grey outside. Not many
people can be seen doing their shoppingand even less people are talking.
Men and women are rushing to their warm homes, but not Balzaretti. He slowly
walks and walks and walks, not realizinganything that is going on around
him. His thoughts still seem to be far far away, maybe in Italy, maybe even
further away.
Suddenly a young
kid, maybe twelve years old, walks towards him. The young boy is holding
a HWA Action Figure in his hands. Balzaretti spots it anddecides to 'lighten
the kid's load' by grabbing it and holding it up 8 feet into the air. The
young boy is screaming and yelling at Balzaretti, bu Il Padrinois just smiling
at him.
The boy's parents
join their son and ask what is going on. He says the big guy took his figure
away. The father of the young kid looks up and sees acurious Balzaretti examining
the action figure. The father takes all his courage and walks up to him.
He coughs and then gets the attention of Il Padrino.Balzaretti looks down
on the man who is about one foot smaller than him. The man raises his finger,
pointing towards the action figure and nervouslybegins to speak.]
Man: I think that action
figure is my son's...
Balzaretti: I know.
Man: I wanted to kindly
ask if he can have it back?
Balzaretti: No.
Man: Um, Sir, I'm gonna
have to report that to the police, you're stealing...
Balzaretti: confronting
the man harshly You don't have to tell me anything about stealing!
I know what stealing is,better than anybody else on this planet.
Man: Well, yeah...
Balzaretti: Has anybody ever stolen a person
from you? Has anybody ever stolen your love from you? Your life? This pointing
towards the action figure is NOTHING!
Man: I'm sorry, but
still, you have to understand, this is my...
Balzaretti: Oh, I understand that, don't
worry, I understand. But what I don'tunderstand is WHY somebody has to steal
things...
Man: Um, you're not
making sense here, YOU just took MY...
Balzaretti: I'm looking for answers, leave
me alone.
Man: Sir!
[Balzaretti turns
away, but soon decides to turn backto the man. His mood has seemingly changed
as his face has taken an enragedand pissed off look now. Shivers are sent
down the man's back as he looksup to the Italian monster.]
Man: Please?
Balzaretti: putting
on his thickest Italian accent Look at you, you and your
bambino, what is this? You buy an Apocalypse doll? And you even want to have
it back? Che cazo voi(sp?)? Eh? Don't you know thatApocalypsa is as good
as dead?
Man: Pardon?
Balzaretti: He never gave anything for
Charity!
Man: Charity?
Balzaretti: He is my next victim, you know,
he's my first opponent in myWorldTitle campaign!
Man: Victim? Opponent?
World Title? Man, you're a looney!
Balzaretti: Hey! You keep on insulting
me and I BEAT YOU UP!
Man: Ok! OK!
Balzaretti: Bah! Apocalypsa is at the wrong
place at the wrong time, or maybeat the right place at the right time! I'm
gonna BEAT PEOPLE UP tomorrow,si?Si! And the man with the stupid name is
one of them. Hey! It's the end of theworld for you, testa di merda!
Man: Ok, ok, ok. Can
I now please have the action fi...
[Balzaretti shoves
him away and then takes the actionfigure, looks at it, and moves it slowly
towards his face. And then...
he bites the figure's
head off!]
Kid: NOOOO!!!
[Balzaretti spits
the head out and throws the rest of the figure towardsthe frightened father.
A smile comes across his face as he goes down to facethe little kid who is
hiding behind his mom now.]
Balzaretti: Lost his head.
[The kid begins
to cry and Balzaretti gets up again. He turns around and walks away, as if
nothing had happened. The family anda couple of people who were watching
the scene keep on looking at him, someshaking their heads, some helping up
the father, but Balzaretti keeps on walkingand keeps on looking for answers.]
