Left a message after the beep
Stood on my own two feet
Prayed to the devil for an answer
He was home watching TV

And a handful of pills
Liquor store open 24-7
A suicidal man’s heaven
Collapsed into bed
Horizontal desire limbo in my head
Performed a sin
Then swallowed the pills
Woke up this morning
With my head in the toilet
And my phone ringing
It was god calling me back
