TRAITOR!!

Benedict Arnold Trades Sides!!

Benedict Arnold, a general of the American Revolutionary

War, for the patriot cause handed documents that contained
the plans of the number of troops and the detailed
location of the fortifications of the Hudson River Garrison.
Arnold had given them to General John Andre, in charge of
intelligence for the British in exchange for twenty
pounds.
General John Andre was soon apprehended with the secret
documents while traveling behind American lines. Those
documents implicated that Benedict Arnold was a
traitor to the American cause.
General John Andre was tried by a military court and was
hanged as a spy. When Benedict Arnold learned of Andre's
capture he fled on his official barge to the British man-of-war
Vulture anchored in the Hudson.
