Question 1

Why you chose this module?
This module has been provided as a compulsory subject in the degree, therefore I am merely fulfilling the requirements of it.

Intranet Title
The title of my intranet is Era Konsep Sendirian Berhad.

Programming / Web publishing experience
Before this, I have already tried experimenting with web building, and currently I am also going through a subject that teaches about html coding.
Apart from that, I have completed Turbo Pascal, and currently touching on Java and C++.

Describe the preferred technical environment
Preferably, an Apache WWW Server with support for Netscape's Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is chosen.

Type of Intranet design is needed
This site serves mainly as an information provider to clients and public, therefore not fancy design is needed, just basic html coding and if necessary, a bit of Java coding.

Who is the target audience?
Aimed to reach out to will be clients and the public

Expected / Unexpected outcomes
From this Intranet, we expect to be able to promote our company globally, inform the public, and from there, we expect our clients to increase.

Site location
Basic company and employee information will be uploaded to an ISP, but confidential information will be kept on a local network.

Internet site access conditions
For basic information found on the ISP, all user levels are granted access, but for confidential information, a username and password (available for company employees only) must be provided.

Type of Intranet design is needed
A distributed control is needed.

Services available to users
Internally, e-mail and message boards will be available for quick response. Externally, e-mail and contact numbers are available for better communication.

Impact on similar or existing systems
Be part of the competition and giving them a run for their money.
