With this series you can start eight feet outside the wake and still get a solid pop off the wake from the board's tip up/tail down position. This was also the first bottom design that incorporated an asymmetric venturi-tunnel which helps grip the boards leading edge into the water on bigger cuts. At least half of our team could be seen riding the Drifter. For 2000, we switched to a fin designed specifically for this board shape, slightly increased the rocker, and stiffened the flex pattern. The quick-response, and explosiveness of this series has dispelled any myth that a multi-fin board can't work.
