Television In Australia Page 2.

Effect And Cost In Fiance And Labour.

The introduction of television into Australia has had large and wide spread effects. One of the major effects on labour is that it has created hundreds of thousands of jobs. This is a major boost to the Australian economy.

Television can help many companies of almost any type to benefit. In fact television stations rely on companies and businesses for their finance. For almost all commercial TV stations advertising is their main source if income. It costs a lot of money to advertise via television, so people want to make sure that there not wasting their money. Businesses have been created that are especially designed to make advertising campaigns for other businesses and companies. In order to get people to advertise with them the television stations need to air popular programs. TV shows are then created to meet this demand. As you can see the television industry is huge, and it creates many jobs.

There are also smaller jobs in the television industry, such as technicians and repair men. The fact is that television has a major role in the Australian economy and labour market.

Consequential Developments.
There have been many more inventions connected to the television, and the television industry. Some or the equipment that has been invented to broadcast and produce TV include transmitters, satellites, mixers, cameras, etc.

One of the first major inventions designed for use in the home with the television is the VCR. The VCR was invented to make television more convenient for the consumer. Instead of having to be at your television at a set time, the VCR gave people the freedom to watch their favourite programs whenever they wanted to. One of the next major inventions was the hand held camera. This allowed people to record themselves and play it back on their televisions. One of the inventions that's only purpose was to save people getting up every now and again was the remote control.

Today more and more inventions are being created to improve the realism of TV. These include surround sound, larger screens, etc. The television is gradually becoming more realistic. Who knows, maybe in 50 years people wont be able to tell the difference between watching television and real life.

How Television Changed The Media.
Television is the main factor that has changed the media. Today television companies are prepared to spend hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars for some footage of a major event. Television has given people the ability to see what is going in the world rather then just listening to it or reading about it. Because there are so many television cameras and stations around the world, if something happens almost anywhere, then the other side of the world can see it within 24 hours. In some cases using satellites people can see what is happening within seconds after it happens.

Television has also created some problems for the media. Originally all that was needed to cover a news story was a pen and paper. Today very large amounts of equipment are needed such as cameras, microphones, video tapes, and many people to operate them. This can often make getting to certain locations very difficult. There are also natural problems which can make it difficult for the television crews such as lighting, background noise etc.

Although television has created some problems for the media the benefits of it far outweigh them. TV is probably one of the greatest tools used by the media. Without it life would be very different.
