this is absolutly my favorite moov. its got some great stars in it like sarah jessica parker, helen hunt, jon silverman, and shannen doherty. whatever you know that i really can't spell, especially names. Its a lot like dirty dancing but it came first.

SUMMARY

Janey(Sarah Jessica Parker)is a teen-age girl with a mission in life.... to dance! Witha little push from her eccentric pal, lynne (helen hunt), janey is transformed from a goody-two-shoes into a dancing machine
When the girls find out about a chance to dance on a national television program, they pull out all the stops to defy thier parents and achieve a life-long dream. Nothing is going to stop them.... not Janey's "general patton" father, not the nuns at sacred heart high and certainly not Janey's scheming rival, Natalie Sands.

and heres MY summary
Janey has been moving around all her life. 11 schools so far all with the same uniform, even on guam. her father was in the the army until he retired. so janey and her fam moves to chicago, home of dance tv. she Loves to dance(as we find out in the first scene) and its always been her dream to make it to chicago. she becomes instant pals with lynne and they find out about a contest to become the new couple on dance tv. They go despite janey's father telling them not to.
