How do people financially support you?

There are two ways people support me;
  • Regular monthly payments which go towards meeting my budget,

  • One-off gifts by cheque.
Monthly support is the best way you can help, even if you feel it is a lesser amount.

One-off contributions help to temporarily bolster my support account level but in the long term do not bring me closer to reaching my target.

For this reason sometimes it can be more valuable to make a commitment to a smaller but regular monthly payment than a large one-off amount. With a stable base of regular monthly supporters, I can be active full-time on campus without needing to worry about support levels.

It is better to choose a realistic level than committing to a high level of monthly giving that you will not be sure you will be able to maintain. This is more beneficial to both of us as it doesn't excessively stretch your budget and I can be surer of your pledge as a long-term commitment.

How much?

Most of my supporters give between $50 and $200 per month. However even $20 a month is a significant help.

My target is $1500 monthly. This amount is not all salary. I require about $700 per month for living, and the rest covers ministry expenses and administration costs.

My salary is paid on a monthly basis from my personal support account as maintained by Student Life. Money paid into this account is used for the purpose of paying my salary and covering Student Life ministry and administration costs associated with me.
