These are pictures out of an exhibition called "Körperwelten" that took place in Mannheim early this year.

For the first time this exhibition gave the possibility to the wide public to see the details of the human body. So far only scientists had seen this behind closed doors. This fairly new method of plastination makes it possible to create these long lasting, aesthetic looking artpieces.

The Exhibition was a huge success measured by the number of visitors.At the end it was open 24 hours and believe me, even at three o´clock at night you had to stand in the queue for 4-5 hours.

I´ll try to put more pictures here and further explain the methods of plastination so bare with me.
