About Me

My name is Ravi ("RAW-vee") M. Menghani.  I'll let the "M" remain secret, because only 1% of America can pronounce it, and that millifraction is Indian.  No, not "Native American," the real, solid, gold-devouring East Indian Indian.  People have speculated that the "M" means "Mysterious," "Math-geek," "Matt-Marco-mosh-victim" or even that it stood for nothing.  In the tradition of Capcom's legendary character M. Bison of SF2, I'll leave the current lore up to speculation.

I enjoy spicy foods, especially Mexican, Italian, and Indian.  By Mexican I mean tacos, by Italian I mean spaghetti, and by Indian I mean curry, of course, right?  Not exactly, but in my opinion, the foods in those 3 categories dominate across the spectrum.  I also enjoy Sushi, especially that made by Cowboys and sold at a restaurant known as "Cowboy Sushi" in Westwood.

Here's a pic of me taken near the beginning of the 2001-2002 School Year within the compounds of the James West Alumni Center.  During my 3rd and 4th years at UCLA, I will have served as the Alumni Relations Director for the Alumni Scholars Club.

My birthday's in late October, which is cool because it almost coincides with the celebration of Halloween.  I'm extremely involved at UCLA, participating in a number of organizations, including COPE, Alumni Scholars Club, Golden Key Honor Society, College Bowl Club, volunteering at the hospital, etc.

My old excuse for not having a pic was that my scanner, a $99 purchase from Heartland America (where'd they get their name from, Stater Brothers?) and of the Plustek brand name, ceased function before it had time to blow the candles off its 1-week old celebration.  Fortunately, I was able to obtain this picture from Heather Goyette, Communications Director for the Alumni Scholars Club this past year. See the "now-hidden" News section for more information regarding my Plustek Scanner.

The best way to get to know me is through Ravimail™.  I usually send out Ravimails once every couple months.  To get on my list, send me an email.
