Summer Course in Budapest 1999

Here are almost all of my pictures from the SC in Budapest I attended this year. The SC was entitled "Applied Optics and Instruments in Biotechnology" and it was extremely interesting. As always, lectures are not the only thing we do in these courses...

The cathedral of Szeged

The main pedestrian street in Szeged

A nice picture of what I believe is the
townhall of Szeged

Same as before

I think this should be the theatre
of Szeged but I could be wrong

The river Tisza with the
bridge in Szeged

The Museum in Szeged

Group picture in front of the museum
in Szeged

Anna looking in Professor Pal's device

Me doing exactly the same

A not so good view of the robot that uses
Professor Pal's invention

Participants just after the ending
of the lecture

Marci and Huba dancing and having a lot of fun at an open air concert in Szeged

At the Botanical Garden of Szeged a little before the Total Solar Eclipse (TSE)

Me in front of a beautiful lake filled with water lillies

Watching the eclipse in Szeged

The colour of the sky as it is beginning to get darker and darker

Our group watching the TSE (this
picture was taken at about 12:54p.m.)

Eating the pink soup after the eclipse

Why is this water melon so popular? Could this have something to do with...alcohol?

What are they doing under the covers?

Michael (left) and Risto (right) playing the yoghurt game.

Find out which group had the most socks!

On the bus to Kiskunhalas Georgios and Risto had a chance to catch some sleep
