The purpose of this department is to handle all of the promotions, awards and records of every JROTC cadet in the program. This department has three major divisions: Awards, Promotions, and Records. There is only information on Records at this time. The Records division is by far the busiest division in the Administration Department, and one of the buisiest divisions in the entire MAKO Battalion. The Records division is responsible for keeping track of every cadet in the CGJROTC program. Overall, we track their status success, and participation. At the completion of every Personnel Inspection , the records division mailbox is literally "bursting at its seams" with Inspection grade sheets. The Division chief and his staff must then each of the almost 200 forms, and log in a score next to each cadet's name. When this is done, a computerized list with names and scores is compiled, and submitted to the instructors. When you walk into a Doctors staff office, what is the first thing you notice? You proboably notice all of the patient records, one of which is yours. When you walk into Administration office, this is the first thing you notice as well. For each one of the 145 cadets in the CGJROTC program, there is a record, which is updated constantly with their participation, rank, and awards. On top of keeping a grade and progress log for each cadet, the records division must also keep a record of all the after action reports, which give detailed descriptions of all the projects completed in the CGJROTC program. The information on these sheets are inputed in the computer, and a work order is sent to the awards division, authorizing the issuance of ribbons and awards to each of the cadets listed on the after action reports.
