Anyone can browse and search the messages of groups that are public on eGroups.com, but to take full advantage of eGroups' service they ask you to register.

When registered, you can join groups and participate in others on-going discussions, or start your own group.

1. If you haven't already registered with eGroups, you'll see a simple form where you enter your e-mail address. Then click Continue.

IMPORTANT! At this point, eGroups just sent you an e-mail message containing a validation number. (This is how they make sure no one else can register as you.)

2. In your e-mail message from eGroups you will find a validation number. Copy it so you can use it once.

3. Go back to the "Completing Registration" page showing in your browser, or click on the blue highlighted URL in the e-mail.
Use the validation number from the e-mail.
You must choose a password. (You can always choose another later if you forget it.)

That's it! Click "Done" and you have your new, free eGroups.com account. You can now fully participate in multiple e-mail groups.
