I just got back from a trip to Beijing over Spring Break, and all the
taxi drivers there were sooo rude! Most of them tried to cheat us and/or
didn�t know where we wanted to go. Apparently some taxi drivers "don�t
know" the way to the main streets of Beijing.... Anyway, one guy was the
worst of all. Falice put in a Presidents tape and we were listening..
she�s lump, and stuff.. and then, suddenly the taxi driver turned off the
music, ejected the tape and handed it back to Falice, making some comment
like "oh, the tape is finished now." whatever! As we were about to tell it
to put it right back in, he turned the radio (loud) to a weird Chinese
talk show or something. We asked him to turn it off and please put our
tape back in. He mumbled, "no, I don�t understand the words on that tape."
We said, well, too bad! We�re paying you for heaven�s sake. So then he said
(a little angry) "No, I don�t like your music." Of course, Falice
immediately replies, well, we don�t like yours! Then he just ignored us,
and after a few minutes stopped and said we had reached our destination.
We paid and got out to discover it wasn�t even exactly where we wanted to
go! ouch!
