Finals Crunch
Hey Everyone! Long time no update! That's because I've been busy
at school, dying on midterms, wishing there were no such things
as mandatory essay writing, and so on. This is my hardest semester
yet. History 7B knows no mercy! The teacher is boring, there are
thousands of pages worth of reading. I recently found out that
I really really hate people with egos, so I've decided to quit
mainstream political science and go into math and game theory
political science. There's a correct answer! So there is less of
a need for those darn ego trips everyone in poli sci seems to go on
whenever the floor is given to them. eep.
I also had the most miserable extra-curricular experience in
my entire life. Now I never want to join any more clubs in college.
I joined up with our school's new Mock Trial team... all seemed well,
until we got to New York and all my team mates did at night was go
out and get drunk. Because of their partying, I almost ended up homeless
one night! (because they ditched me, and changed our plans... grr.)
So yeah, it's back to studying for me, no need for recommendations that
badly... not to mention there aren't even coaches for our pathetic team.
We lost bad, of course, considering they seemed to think drinking the
night before competition is a great idea. Sheesh, and let's not
even talk about the Yale students I met while I was there. They also
partied everynight... suddenly my little quiet public school doesn't
seem so bad anymore.

So anyway, back to business. Yes, finals are coming up, and I'm
starting to wonder what all this stress is for. Everything
is about competiting. And getting non A grades really puts you down.
Our understaffed department doesn't seem to really care about how
each student is doing. The TA's seem more busy with their own work to
do extra stuff for us--sometimes even do things they're paid to do, like
grade homework. Hopefully I'll have better classes and TA's next year
so I won'thave to go through this anymore. I'm so tired. I really just
want to go home and sleep for a month.
