Real and Virtual Image

A real image is the one through which rays really pass, as can be put on a screen. The images appearing behind a plane mirror are virtual images, because rays never pass through them and they can not be captured by a piece of paper. Rays reflected from a concave mirror can either converge to form real images or diverge to form virtual images.
