Our adviser, "Mommie" Rose was practically our mom for a year. We spent so much time working on the book we didn't have lives! J "Mommie" Rose was a brand new adviser, because the original adviser began advising the newspaper that year. So not only did most of the staff have no clue what they were doing, our adviser had no clue on how to advise us. For us, it felt wonderful because we had freedom to do what we wanted, but we really did need some guidance and supervision. Thank goodness for our wonderful representative.
Well, we don't have any pictures of Ray, but we do know that he is a wonderful person. He would stay late at night to help us with our deadlines. He even let us walk our final deadline pages out to his car, seatbelt them in, and lock the door, just because we were proud that we had made the last deadline. Ray was always bringing us toys and clothes, of course, we had asked for these things.
Ray was really great about understanding that there were only two people on the staff with yearbook production experience. He explained lots of things to Rebecca, who was just interested in the whole production thing. He was also curious about some of the errors the plant made in the book after it was produced. We still have no clue on how some of the things happened.
Our yearbook production company was Herff Jones. We all are really impressed with the quality of their work.
