Hi! My name is Eugene Rice. I am a computer science business major. Computer science is a great major because computers are the future. There are great opportunities in working with computers. The average starting pay is around $40,000 a year. Kentucky State also has some great student organizations like sororities, choirs, jazz ensemble, theatre, and the yearbook staff. I am the student director of the gospel ensemble. I travel on the road with Kentucky State and see many different cities. In addition to this, I meet famous people in the gospel industry. I will build my own studio, productions, and distribution label. Being here has opened doors for me. The famous people give me advice on how to reach these goals, because they once were trying to accomplish the same thing. So far, I have connections to two of the most popular gospel record labels in the United States which are Malaco and Tyscot Records and I have also frequently see and talk to one of the musicians who use to be in Midnight Star's group. I choose KSU because of the family environment. It is not hard to get to know people here, and it also is not hard to find your instructors when you need them. I always receive one on one attention from my professors. This has helped me maintain very good grades. I also choose KSU because of the many opportunities that I have here. Because I have chosen this major, I have the potential of making $500 a week internship. I already have about five people I have to talk to in regards to jobs with computers when I go home for the summer. My hobbies are playing drums, keyboard, and song composition. I have copyrighted 15 songs and will soon be sending them off to gospel record labels to be discovered. I also love to play basketball. If this college sounds interesting to you, do not hesitate to apply to this school. You will not regret your decision!
