Well...some more information...good question Hi folks, just a few things about my person. My real name is Ingo Baier, I was born in December 1970 (maybe 15 years too late for the chance to be successful with quality music). The exact place of my birth was Neustadt an der Waldnaab, which is in Bavaria, quite close to the Czech border. But I grew up 30 miles south of this place, at Schwandorf. After my Abitur, I served in the German army for 15 months and then decided to start studying law at Regensburg University. This was one of my biggest faults, as I failed core examinations after 5 semesters and had to leave university. After an interlude of about 3 years in which I mainly worked in parcel delivery I decided to apply for a move to a Scottish university and re-enrolled at Regensburg, this time for English, History and Philosophy. In the second attempt I finally was offered a place at Stirling University for the 1998/99 session which I gladly accepted, and I moved up... But just before the second year began, I got an email from Regensburg which said that they had started a new project which would enable me to finish my degree within 3 more semesters (at Stirling it would have taken 3 years), so I decided to return, and Im not too happy about it... My main hobbies, apart from music and chatting, are: Football (or soccer, as North Americans would call it), where I became a referee at the age of 16. Don't laugh, I'm still enjoying it!!!! Chess, although I don't have very much time to play anymore Cooking, oh yes, I always cook myself, except when I'm at my parents' home, because Mum simply has more experience... but I hate the dishwashing after!!! and finally my big love... ICE HOCKEY and ice-skating...this is the only thing I missed in Scotland, though there is an ice-rink at Stirling See the link to my home team at the bottom of this page! I'd also like to name some great bands from everywhere...they're really worth listening to (if you're interested, look at their websites...): First of all Runrig, a Scottish band that always remained Scottish, although their new singer is Canadian...Best albums: The Big Wheel (1991) with my personal No.1 song Flower Of The West, and Once In A Lifetime (1989), a live album with the best ever version of Loch Lomond Secondly Pink Floyd, no further comment except Wish You Were Here, the song I always listen to on lonely evenings in my flat Thirdly Fish, another Scot who has proved that it was rigth for him to quit Marillion and that he was irreplacable in the band...just listen two songs like Raw Meat, Cliche or Sunsets On Empire...new album Raingods With Zippos out 19th May 1999 Other favourites: Abba, Genesis, but only in the Gabriel-era, Peter Gabriel, Pendragon, IQ (the progband, not the rapper), Clannad, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Saga, Queen, Scorpions, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, ZZ Top, Yes, in German language Pur, Marius Mller-Westernhagen, Klaus Lage, Herbert Grnemeyer, and especially Kepler's Verhngnis and Freudenpark from Regensburg

Scotland...there's so many things you can write about... I just can say that I always wanted to move there and still have the feeling that this was the right thing to do (although I think that I did most things in my life wrong) at that time, and Im still quite sure that I will return some day. For a small impression, I put a few chosen pictures onto this site... There will also be an interesting link about malt whisky at the bottom...because single malt is the best drink I know...even better than Bavarian beer!!! | Scotland

| University activities |
As 10 to 12 hours of lectures a week were simply not enough for me, I decided to fill my time with some extra activities at Stirling University. The first one was of course football refereeing, and it was the only one which went beyond the uni. I also had a radio show on the campus radio station, Radio Airthrey. It was called ROOTS and featured simply the best of rock music out of five decades with some blues and reggae added to avoid monotony. Secondly, I was member and publications officer of the Literary Society, which met regularly on campus with guest speakers and also has published a compilation of poems and short stories written by members of Stirling University. Thirdly, I was involved in the student group of the Liberal Democrats
