"I Miss That Smile"
I've seen this before But I just can't ignore That your stare is taking its toll The eyes are the window to the soul Now I'm missing you I don't know what to do But I can't forget that empty look It's now as if, you're a closed book Didn't use to be that way Thinking of you, I'd start my day Your smile at me, I forever would take My smile to you, I just couldn't fake If only I could travel in time To get the feelings that once were mine But the price paid for what was lost Is too great a price, to pay the cost I'm realizing now That I miss you Do you realize now That you miss me too? How does one get back What we once had? If you look in my eyes You'll see that they're sad But I'm the queen of pretenders If you think I don't remember I'd walk a thousand miles To see again, that special smile
