"To The Little Girl I Wish I Had"

I wish I had a little girl
Someone who was my own
To watch her little face light up
Eating her first ice cream cone

I wish I had a little girl
Who looked and laughed like me
All the things we'd ever do
My best friend she'd always be

I wish I had a little girl
To teach, have fun with and play
We'd take walks and have the best of talks
There'd be so much to give each day

I wish I had a little girl
Who'd always stand by my side
The smile on my heart you'd see
Would forever reflect my pride
