A Tribute To "Brass"
October 16, 1998 - December 15, 1998

"Brass" was my puppy that I adopted my from my local shelter on November 27, 1998.
We were perfect for each other and she was everything I wanted in a dog. She potty trained
in 3 days and was so smart. At 7 weeks old, she was learning a few tricks already shaking paws.
She was showing herself to be a very loyal dog; never leaving my side when we went for a walk
(infact she stayed so close, she'd always trip me). She was obedient and never failed to come
to my call. Only having had her 3 weeks, her life ended abruptly one morning
in the jaws of another dog. I miss her so much ... this Tribute is For "My Brass"

She thought she was a big girl
But she's just a little dog
All tough with puppy bounce
On my shoe, she'd proudly pounce

So very smart was she
So loyal already too
She was my very big girl
Doing all I asked her to

Loved to play, loved to "puppy bite"
She was a puppy through and through
A puppy who loved to visit
Just wanted to see the view

Ventured out to say hello
One morning a short jog
She thought I'm now a "big girl"
In reality, just a little dog

Eight weeks old, my poor girl lifeless
My love for her I knew was priceless
Again shattered was my tiny world
In my heart, she's always my big girl

My small puppy was buried today
My friend who was so little
A sad lesson learned yet again
That life can be so brittle

I love you "Brass" and miss you so much
