Afrovenator (AF-ro-vee-NAY-tor)
Afrovenator was a carnivore theropod that lived in the early Cretaceous-period.
It's forelimbs were powerfully built with three-fingered hands ending in recurved claws.
It's long tail was stiffened by overlapping, bony struts. Afrovenator's skull is similar to
an Allosaurus skull. Paleontologist Paul Sereno uncovered the 130 million-year-old in
Niger's "dinosaur graveyard".
