Euoplocephalus (you-oh-plo-SEF-uh-lus)
A Late Cretaceous ankylosaur from Alberta, Canada and maybe Sinkiang, North-eastern China [Greek euoplo, "well armed" + kephale, "head"]. Euoplocephalus had carapace-ribbons along its back, with rows of small plates and blunted spikes. This was the most common North American ankylosaur.
