Huayangosaurus (hwah-YANG-oh-sore-us)
A Middle Jurassic stegosaur from China [for Huayang, Shanxi Province, China]. Huayangosaurus was described in 1982. It had plates, spikes and front-teeth (not a toothless beek) and could have been the origin of later stegosaurs.
