Kentrosaurus (KEN-tro-sore-us)
A Late Jurassic stegosaur from Tendaguru, Tanzania [Greek kentro, "spike"]. Kentrosaurus had a couple of short triangular plates on its neck and shoulders and long thorns on the back and tail, it also had an extra pair that protected the upper part of the thighs.
