Parasaurolophus (par-us-sore-ALL-uh-fus)
A Late Cretaceous ornithopod from Alberta, Utah and New Mexico [Green para, "similar" + saurolophus, a related ornithopod]. Parasaurolophus had a short snout. A crooked, hollow horn, that could get up to 2 meters long, shot out backwards from its skull. A fold of the skin could have extend from the horn to the back.
