Pentaceratops (PEN-tuh-sayr-uh-tops)

A Late Cretaceous ceratopsian from New Mexico [Greek pente, "five" + ceratops, "horned face"]. Pentaceratops was larger than Chasmosaurus, with longer horns, a shorter face and smaller holes in the enormous collar. It had two large hornes on its forhead, a small horn on the nose and two outgrowths from the cheekbones.
