KANSHIWS KATA

ichi: - Feet together, bow, step off to the left into a normal stance bringing both hands in front to a sanshin post position.

ni: - Pivot on the left foot to face the left in a left sanshin position. Execute a left half wa-uke block while bringing the right fist to a chambered position at the hip, and execute a right punch to the solar plexus, and return right fist to sanshin.

san: - Mawate (turn 180 degrees) into a right sanshin stance. Execute a right half wa-uke block while bringing the left fist to chamber at hip, and execute a left punch to the solar plexus, and return fist to sanshin.

shi: - Step off to the front into a left sanshin. Execute a left half wa-uke block, while bringing the right fist to chamber at hip. Execute a right punch to the solar plexus, and return fist to sanshin.

go: - Step forwardt into a right sanshin stance, and deliver a right half wa-uke block. Execute a right side snap kick, and return to right sanshin stance.

roku: - Step through into a left sanshin stance, and deliver a left half wa-uke block. Deliver a left side snap kick, and return to left sanshin stance, face front and bring both hands to sanshin post position.

shishi: - Slide forward into a right front horse stance and execute a left half wa-uke block while bringing the right fist to chamber at hip. Execute a right roundhouse elbow and strike the palm of left hand. Return right fist to sanshin position and left open hand to sanshin position. Deliver a right uraken (back fist) to opponents nose and bring right fist to sanshin position.


hachi: - Pivot on left foot and mawate (turn 180 degrees) into a left sanshin stance with both hands open in sanshin position.

kyu : - Slide forward into a left sanshin stance and execute a full left wa-uke block.

jyu : - Step through into a right sanshin stance and execute a full right wa-uke block.

ichi: - Step through into a left sanshin stance and execute a full left wa-uke block.

ni: - Slide forward into a right sanshin stance and execute a left half wa-uke block while bringing the right knife hand to chamber at hip and bring the right knifehand up to touch the right ear and deliver a right shuto (knifehand) to the left side of opponents neck. Right back fist to face Return the right knife hand to sanshin position.

san: - Pivot on the left foot and mawate (turn 180 degrees) into a left sanshin stance with both open hands in a post position.

shi: - Execute a left half wa-uke. Execute a front snap kick to opponents groin returning to a left sanshin stance.

go: . Slide forward into a left sanshin stance and deliver a left half wa-uke block while bringing the right one knuckle fist to chamber at hip. Deliver a right one nuckle fist to the left floating rib of your opponent. Return right one nuckle fist to sanshin position.

roku: - Slide back with left foot bringing right fist over left- right fist facing up - left fist facing down. Return into a neutral stance. Bring both feet together left meets right and drop both open hands to the sides and bow.

SANSHIN KATA

Feet together in sanshin stance, hands at side Bow, step to left side with left foot.

Hands come to hips. Step forward with right foot into a right sanshin stance. Thrust both hands out and down to hip level of opponent. Make fists with both hands and rotate up to sanshin position. Open both hands at same time into sanshin position.

Sanshin hand strike off the back leg, move back leg to center and step forward into a left sanshin stance.

Sanshin hand strike off the back leg, move back leg to center and step forward into a right shanshin stance.

Sanshin hand strike off the back leg, complete the strike. Bring heel of back foot to meet heel of front foot with both feet forming a v. Look to the rear as you pivot on the right foot into a left sanshin stance facing the rear.

Sanshin hand strike off the back leg, move back leg to center and step forward into a right shanshin stance.

Sanshin hand strike off the back leg, move back leg to center and step forward into a left shanshin stance.

Sanshin hand strike off the back leg, complete the strike. Bring heel of back foot to meet heel of front foot with both feet forming a v. Look to the rear as you pivot on the left foot into a right sanshin stance facing the rear.

Sanshin hand strike off the back leg, complete the strike, and return hand to sanshin position in preperation for double strikes.

Bring both hands back to waist level at the same time, and perform a double strike to the front. Form fists with both hands, and as you draw them back rotate fists into a palm up position, and halfway back to the waist open your hands in preperation for the next double strike. After completing the third double strike form a post with both hands.

Step offs:

Step for distance to the right into a right sanshin stance, Perform a wallakey block off the front leg.

Bring back foot to meet front foot in a v, and step for distance to the rear into a left sanshin stance, and perform a wallakey block off the front leg.

Step for distance to the right into a right sanshin stance and perform a wallakey block off the front leg.

Step back into a neutral stance and perform closed gate (Hidden Fist) left hand over right hand, bring feet together, hands at sides, and bow.

KUMITE 3

LOW PUNCH AND BLOCK SERIES

Feet together, Bow: Left Sanshin stance, right fist chambered at right hip. Left fist in low block position.

Move forward into Right Sanshin stance and deliver a right punch to the belt knot, bringing the left fist back to chambered position at left hip.

Move forward into a Left Sanshin stance and deliver a left punch to the belt knot, bringing the right fist back to chambered position at right hip.

Move back into a Right Sanshin stance and perform a low block with the Right fist, bringing the Left fist back to a chambered position at the left hip.

Move back into a Left Sanshin stance and perform a low block with the Left fist, bringing the right fist back to a chambered position at the right hip.

MIDDLE PUNCH AND BLOCK SERIES

Move forward into a Right Sanshin stance and deliver a right punch to the solar plexus, bringing the left fist back to a chambered position at the left hip.

Move forward into a Left Sanshin stance and deliver a left punch to the solar plexus, bringing the right fist back to a chambered position at the right hip.

Move back into a Right Sanshin stance and perform a right middle area block with the right forearm, bringing the left fist to a chambered position at the left hip.

Move back into a Left Sanshin stance and perform a left middle area block with the left forearm, bringing the right fist to a chambered position at the right hip.

HIGH PUNCH AND BLOCK SERIES

Move forward into a Right Sanshin stance and deliver a right punch to the face, bringing the left fist back to a chambered position at the left hip.

Move forward into a Left Sanshin stance and deliver a left punch to the face, bringing the right fist back to a chambered position at the right hip.

Move back into a Right Sanshin stance and perform a right high forearm block, bringing the left fist back to a chambered position at the left hip.

Move back into a Left Sanshin stance and perform a left high forearm block, bringing the right fist back to a chambered position at the right hip.

The person who starts the attack steps forward into a Right Sanshin stance, and delivers a right fist to the face.

The person who blocks steps back into a Right Sanshin stance and performs a right high forearm block, hook and trap, and delivers a left hand strike (Nukite) to the opponents right side (Floating Ribb Area).
