Tigers

The Tiger River Exhibit featured a pair of tigers in a vaguely tropical environment. Zoo visitors stand behind a glass wall, as here, and check out the inhabitants.


This tiger settled in on a rock, tail dangling into the water. The line at the left of the photo is the place where two panes of glass are joined. Letting my eye follow the line down towards the floor led me...


...to this guy. (The "tiger" on the right is a reflection.) I walked around that pillar at left...


...and took this photo.


A little out of focus, but I've put it in because I was about one foot away from the tiger's face when I took it, and that's not something one experiences every day. The cat never seemed to notice me, leading me to believe that the glass was one-way.
