Bald Eagle Classroom Activities

Bald Eagle Growth and Development Photographs

Many facts and photograghs of the eagle development; including the egg and chick stage, adults feeding chicks and more are included at this link developed by the Northwest Utilities System.  The camera was placed at the nesting sight and took these pictures over a nesting season.  The eagle facts were provided by Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife.  It was last undated June 1, 1998.

Photo Tour of Eagles

This was developed by Manznaita School in Redding, California.  Wonderful photographs of eagles throughout the world are displayed with brief descriptions of habitat and habits.  This is only one page of their school web sight.  Information is simple but photographs are worth viewing.

Audubon Adopt-A-Bird

This Audubon sight includes photos and biographies of different raptors.  It explains the Audubon Adopt-A-Bird program and how the public can help. It also gives you information about  the "Buddy Kit".  This kit can be used in the classrooms.  It has 14 activity sheets that are designed to supplement environmental lessons and teach the importance of saving birds of prey and preserving their habitat.
