Francis

Francis is Great Dane and Black Lab and 100% beautiful. Francis' hobbies include: going for very long WALKS, hoping for the next very long WALK (this starts as soon as the first one finishes,) sleeping - usually on his back with his paws going in many directions, licking himself profusely, knocking over large objects with his tail, "marking" his territory, chasing ducks and kitty cats in the Venice Canals, jumping over Auntie Caryn's six foot high fence just to show he can, catching crabs and chasing cows in Mexico, hunting mice underneath the deck (this is serious business!) playing tug-of-war with his favorite sock, rollerblading with Auntie Caryn, following his buddy Rich anywhere he walks, and most of all Francis loves to sniff all the girlie dogs!!!!

BigDog

We found BigDog at a wonderful No-Kill Shelter called Callaway Hills Shelter. Like most No-Kill shelters, Callway Hills was over flowing with wonderful dogs and it t was a very difficult choice to pick out just ONE! However, when BigDog (whose name was "Casey" at the time) came out of his run on a leash, he immediately sat down next to my husband and leaned all 137 lbs on Tim's leg. Without a doubt, we knew we'd found our soul mate for life. In his years with us, he's been responsible for several "incidents" -- predominantly because of his enormous size: He stepped on my little "schnoodle" (half schnauzer/half poodle), Sophie and broke her elbow (requiring about 500 bucks in surgery and 5 steel pins); broke my mother's ankle (we won't go into the costs here, other than to say she laid on my couch groaning for about 6 weeks one summer)...and, of course, lest we forget, there was also the infamous "stolen pizza=black paint poop on white carpeting" incident. BigDog (who got that name because he IS one) is "about" 7 years old, weighs in at anywhere between 125 and 150 lbs and is the worst watch dog in the world. He also loves kitties, particularly if the kitties will let him hold them down and gently gnaw on them. Oh, we think he is part Malamute (he's got the coloring) and possibly part Clydesdale.
