Filey Brigg is a rocky promentory which extends 1600m into the north sea.
The landward end is drift covered and known as Carr Naze, the Brigg proper is
a narrow strip of calcereous grit with massive overturned blocks on its southern
side exposing Thalassinoides burrows.
