Update 21 June 2001. Made a correction in species name "White-crested Babbler" to "White-crested Babbler" Error notified by Mr Lim Kim Chye. Those who downloaded the database prior to this date will need to make corrections in their databases.
Update Sep-Oct 2001. Major changes had been made to the forms and reports. Additional fields had been added to the Sightings table. These include a tag for Endangered species and one for SeeSightingsNotes. The former is used to tag species listed as endangered. The latter is used to indicate that there are important notes in the memo field such as a suspect ID or other information which the user should read. The spelling for the SpeciesName and ScientificName had been rechecked. Several spelling errors had been discovered and corrected so that sightings entered from previous versions of the database cannot be pasted into this version using the procedure described in this FAQ.
Update Nov 2001. Note: The birding location 'Kledang Hill' had been reclassified as under birding area 'Kledang Saiong Forest Reserve' (previously classified under birding area 'Kledang Hill'). Pos Slim and Simpang Pulai had been both classified under Bukit Kinta Forest Reserve birding area, which also includes the Chemor area. Bukit Merah is also included under the Pondok Tanjung Forest Reserve area. Please make appropriate changes in your database if you downloaded it before 5 Nov 2001. These changes cannot be effected by mere copy & paste method which only works with new records. Another spelling is found in "Striped-throated Bulbul" which had been ammended to "Stripe-throated Bulbul".
Update 2 Dec 2001. Four new reports (BirdPhotoByLabelWithNotes, BirdPhotoByLabelWithoutNotes, BirdPhotoBySpeciesWithNotes and BirdPhotoBySpeciesWithoutNotes) for generating album photos had been created. A new query (PhotoQueryMediaLabel) is also added to filter records for these reports. To enter data for these reports, use the Add2Videos form. In this form, enter storage media (e.g. CD001) for the label field, filename for the Tape Counter Field and a score (from 0 to 5) for the videoquality field.
