Jungle trekking to Buaya Sangkut Waterfalls - Endau Rompin, Johor

4 members of MNS Ipoh, 3 from NERC & 2 orang asli guide started at 8.ooam from the NERC by for a ½-hour boat ride to reach Kuala Jasin. From there we start trekking at 8.30am and reach Buaya Sangkut waterfall at 12.oonoon. On our way we pass by Kuala Marong, Upih Guling and Batu Hampar. We had to cross a clear water river and at Sungai Marong which is about 3 feet deep we saw many types of wild plants, trees and fruits. We reach Buaya Sangkut at 12.00 noon. We had our nasi lemak as lunch. Some went swimming and rest for 2 hours. This waterfall is so irresistibly beautiful but take care, if not you will be hanging like the Buaya Sangkut. We left at 2.00 p.m. and reach the NERC about 5.30pm. On our way back we were cooled by the rain. All this happened on 13.06.2000.
