11th International Fraser Hill Bird Race (Saturday-Sunday 6 - 7 June, 1998)
Ooi Beng Yean and a few Perak members took part in this annual affair to sharpen their birding skills. This year's race saw the participating birder teams arbitrarily divided into the Advanced and Novice groups, decided by the panel of judges. When the final result of these two groups were announced, some of the participants felt that the criteria for the group classification would need to be re-examined for future improvement. Our Perak members, Dr. Ananda & Family Team came out third in the Novice group. Congratulations!
