From current explorations we know that there are many interconnected caves here and work is continuing to find these connections. We believe there is real potential of finding a 10 km system which would put it among the top 10 longest caves in Malaysia and by far the longest in Peninsular Malaysia. If we are lucky, we might even get into the top Five! Right now, the total length of these 5 caves unconnected is a little more than 7 km.
The Kedah branch cave group (consisting of 2 regular but enthusiastic cavers!), with help from Selangor branch, and maybe Perak (??) too, is organising exploration trips to these caves in an attempt to find these connections.
If you are interested to get more information, please contact the undersigned. Perlis has caves of various levels of difficulty. From the Kacang Goreng Caves to those for advanced technical cavers and everything in between! If you feel comfortable caving with your own group of friends, we can help arrange caving trips for the young to the senior all in a day. If you are a caver or have gone caving before, do contact us too. We'd like to know more cavers. Contact us for a unique caving experience — caving in Perlis.
