Fellowship Night (Saturday 6 March)

Our Patron Puan Sri Roslind Foo's residence was a hive of activity as nearly 60 MNS Perak members congregated there for our annual dinner and Fellowship Night. The food was catered by Beacon Point and the western food served is a welcome departure from the usual curried stuff served on previous gatherings. Mixed salad, gratinated steamed vegetables with white sauce and crumb topping, whole chicken leg in Russian sauce, grilled lamb with mint sauce and local fritters with chili dip went well with the rice pilaf. The portions (dished out by the servers) were a bit small though (to the big eaters), but you could go for second helpings! Beer was available on the house (courtesy of Puan Sri) while the teetotallers contented with punch. Cakes and watermelon completed the course and there were even some groundnuts and muruku (courtesy of the Chairman and the Secretary) for those who stayed back a bit to spin their yarns.
Dr.Chan Kai Soon showed some interesting video clips of our past MNS activities – the tiger tracks in Pos Slim, Pos Slim Waterfall, camping at Teluk Harimau, birding at Ulu Dedap, Fraser Hill and the Kuala Selangor Nature Park were some of the highlights. Our gracious host made sure all our needs were attended to. Thanks to Puan Sri for her warm hospitality!  (Dr. Chan Ah Lak)
