There was no new receipt of donations from members since the last announcements.
However ourefforts at fund raising will continue through the sale of insect
post cards (RM3.00 per set of 6)courtesy of Mr. Michael Yeh. So far 32
sets have been sold and the rest farmed out to the MNSSecretariat and Fraser
Hill NEC. In addition Dr. Neoh Chin Boon has given 300 of his beautiful
birdpainting calendars (Wings 2000) at a special rate to be sold to raise
funds for the branch. These are thereal friends of MNS Perak Branch. With
the small sum from the post card sale the Branch BuildingFund to date stands
at RM6,474.10. This will certainly increase when the final accounts from
thecalendar sales are included. If you wish to donate more in the future
please send your cheques/moneyorder/bank draft payable to Malaysian Nature
Society to the Chairman at the branch address. Anyamount, however small,
is most welcome. All donations to the MNS are tax-deductible. Please ensurethat
your name is correctly spelled as in your identity card.
In our last newsletter it was erroneously announced that Mr. Michael
Foo Pak Khean donatedRM500.00 to the branch building fund. It was actually
Mr. Michael Foo Poon Khean who made thedonation. Our sincere apologies
for the mistake and any inconvenience caused.
