Branch AGM (Saturday 28 July 2001)
Time & Place: 4.00 pm at YMCA Hall
Due to unforeseen circumstances and legal advice the branch AGM has
to be changed from the original date to Saturday 28 July 2001. Since the
Ipoh Swimming Club is unavailable on that date the venue will be the YMCA
Hall. Apologies to those who are inconvenienced by the change of date.
Please keep this date free as your participation is most welcome. Rose
Abdullah or other HQ officers will be here to advise on the preparations
on the National AGM to be held on 8 9 September 2001 in Bako-Kuching,
Sarawak.
Again the committee has endeavoured to make this a special and memorable
occasion by inviting a distinguished speaker for the day, Rahimatsah the
Chief Technical Advisor to the Perlis State Park to give a talk/slide show
on the creation of the PSP, the complexities involved and the attractions
of the Park after the buffet dinner at 7.30 pm (please refer to AGM Notice).
Early birds who register early for the AGM will receive a gift. The AGM
is expected to end at about 6.45 pm. After that there will be a lucky draw
(3 hampers or more) for those who have confirmed bookings for the dinner.
There may be a audio-visual presentation (slide or LCD projection). Tickets
for the subsidised dinner is RM20.00 per member and RM15.00 for children
10 years and below.
Please confirm your attendance by payment
personally to Mr. Leow Kon Fah at Tun Razak Library (Office Tel. 2558073),
Mr. Tan Ah Lai’s office at 9 Persiaran Greentown 7, Greentown Business
Centre or any of the following: Lim Swee Cheng at Taiko Building (2417844)
and Helen Cheah at MAPA. You can also book through the telephone or e-mail
and then send your cheque/Postal Order to the branch's P. O. address, not
later than 24 July 2001 to avoid the occurrence of members turning up for
the dinner at the last minute. This will ensure that there is enough food
for everyone who paid early.
