Trekking to Gunung Yong Yap, Lasah

This will be a tough trekking trip (4 days-3 nights) up Mount Yong Yap, Lasah. Those who are interested in participating in this trip are requested to confirm with the trip leaders as a four-wheel drive vehicle will have to be booked in advance and a fitness test will be held at a later date.
Clean Up the World � Kledang Hill

This will again be our target for cleaning. Bring along large used shopping bags, gloves or tongs (if necessary), drinking water and food. Please show up to give your sincere support and practise what we preach � a cleaner Natural environment for all and that we are a caring and responsible society!
Nature Walk Along Fish Pond Trail, Simpang Pulai

Time & Venue : 7.30am at IGB Plaza, Ipoh Garden South
This is a easy going nature walk along an old logging track suitable for a family outing. The desti-nation is a scenic river spot where participants can frolic in the mountain stream or enjoy a family picnic in a tranquil atmosphere. Bring along binoculars and scopes if you wish to birdwatch. Please backpack lunch and water (raincoats and swim gear are optional). Make arrangements for transport. Trekking/jogging shoes and hat are recommended. This trip is expected to be over by 3.00 pm.
Boating Trip to Pulau Sembilan

Stewart is arranging for a one-day trip to the Sembilan Islands departing from Lumut at about 8.30 a.m. and returning at about 6.00 p.m. Exact time and place for meeting will be advised later as will the cost which is likely to be about RM50.00 per head. The day's programme includes snorkelling, diving, beach picnic (maybe a barbecue). Members must arrange their own transport and snorkelling/diving equipment. Diving will only be available for qualified divers (a C-card must be produced). Please contact him for more information.

A talk cum slide show will be given by Ms. Ito Kaori, a Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) volunteer who will talk on Forest Management. Some slides of our recent expeditions will also be shown if time permits.
Gunung Lanno Caving Trip

Birding Trip to Ulu Dedap and Pantai Remis

Meeting Place: In front of SamPoh Tong pomelo stalls
This is a round trip to Ulu Dedap to spot some padi field birds and raptors and then to Pantai Remis to spot some forest birds. Arrangements would be made to put up in a minimalist accomodation in Kampong Bahru in Ayer Tawar. Please confirm early by 10.10.1998 to reserve accomodation.
Caving/Trekking in Dead Man's Gully

Dead Man's Gully is in the Tibetan Buddhist Temple area. This will be a half-day hiking cum caving trip so participants are expected to wear proper hiking shoes (no slippers!) and bring along water, food, spare clothes, a torch light and spare bulb and batteries.
