LIFE IN YOUR GARDEN involves the learner in an extremely active way because the learner becomes a player in an adventure game. By the use of this playing device, which children are already familiar with, the distinction between playing and learning becomes blured. The player learns because decisions must be made.

The learner plays the roll of a FLY , or a BEE, or a GRASSHOPPER, or PLANTS or a SPIDER. The learner/player is asked to make decisions. These decisions will lead the player into an adventure where there are no correct or incorrect decisions.

By making decisions the learner/adventurer becomes more involved in the lesson, which they will conceive as a game and give it as much of their attention as they would to any game. And like any game they will learn to play it and thus have a better retention of the material. There can be no correct or incorrect decisions. By playing the adventure time and time again their decisions will become more deliberate as they learn from their previous adventures.

Quizzes, puzzles, pictures suitable for colouring and others designed to teach fundamental aspects of entomology and drawing will be a part of the package.
