I, Red Crow Salinwood, guardian of the Salinwood Meadow, bid you enter this place. A place of mist and dreams and me. Now, now. Do not be afraid. Let my voice, echoing in you mind, guide you.

Close your eyes and listen. You are in a small dark hall. The ceiling is low and the walls are only my armspan and half again. Though you cannot see them, you know the walls are covered with painted murals. The darkness here lives and breathes, and the air is warm and heavy.

At the end of the hall, there is a simple oak door. It looks like it would be easy to break down but appearance are very deceiving. The magick of ward and guard is strong enough that even the non-sensitive can feel it. Pass through the door. If you mean no harm then you shall have no hindrance. And for the first since the creation of the Meadow, the door is not locked.

Inside the door, you stand on a small landing with stairs leading to the grassy carpet of the meadow floor. Please remove your foot coverings now.

The grass is waist-high to me and ripples gently in the slight, warm breeze. The air is comfortably warm and slightly humid. Grasshoppers chirp, filling the night with music. A waterfall adds to the tune. Moonlight, silvery and gentle, fills the Salinwood. With this you see a tall tree near the center of the Meadow with a flat-topped boulder. And sitting tailor-style, reclining against the tree trunk, is me. From where I sit I can see the ring of blue mountains that encircle the place. On my right and diagonal is the short waterfall. It falls from a rock shelf into a natural basin below and drains by means of an underwater crack. A mist surrounds the pool. Flowers dot the meadow and grove of elder trees stands to the back, nestling the mountains.

Blessed be and welcome to the Salinwood Meadow.

My Journal
I keep a dead tree (paper) journal as well as a journal on my computer. This online journal will have selected pieces from both.

Dream Journal
All my life, I've had the talent of full dream recall and lucid dreaming as well as the odd gift for waking up in the middle of a dream, going to get a drink, and then going back to sleep to continue with the dream in the exact place I left off. I call this dream pausing and consider in both voluntary and involuntary. Here I will share all of my dreams and offer my interpretations of them.

Writings by Red Crow

I was given the gift of words. I spin letters and words into pictures and stories. I invite you to read through my stories and poems. All works are property of me, Red Crow Salinwood.

Others' Writing
This section will constantly be revised and updated as I am given and find new pieces of writing. All works are property of the author unless otherwise stated and permission (in most cases) has been granted for publication on this site.

Random Quotes and Various Wisdoms
So often I find one or two-liners that with so few words say so much. Sometimes there are a lot of words and a lot of wisdom. This will be my place to share the things I come across.

Artwork
I do some artwork myself but more often I find pictures here on the web that I like.
