I am
Canadian, gardening in a 6b zone.
I live
in Canada's "Banana Belt", the Golden Horseshoe of Ontario.
This
area runs from Toronto, west and south, around the west end of
Lake
Ontario, to Niagara Falls.
Our
frost free dates are May 3th to October 15.
My vegetable
garden is organic.
I use
raised beds made from 2 x 10's.
The
beds are 7' x 3'.
I use
a mixture of composed manure and peat moss.
Irrigation
is provided by means of a soaker hose system.
I grow
all of my seedlings from seed in my greenhouse.
The
only spray that I use I make myself.
It is
a mixture of tobacco, chili peppers, vinegar and dish soap.
