Miniature Horse Training Service

At S & A, we have been involved with horses for more than 20 years & have been raising and showing miniatures exclusively for 14 of those. We have trained many Grand Champions: Some we've bred & raised; Others, we've trained for our clients.

Our record just keeps getting better and better!

We are located in the northwest corner of Louisiana, just north of the Shreveport/Bossier City area. The farm consists of 22 acres of pasture and 2 barns containing 13 stalls. (we are in the process of adding more!)

We can provide our clients with all aspects of training, handling everything from weanlings to senior horses.

We are a small farm and like to think we keep our training service on that same small, personal scale as well. We feel that too many horses makes it impossible to give each indiviual horse the love and attention they demand and deserve.

Our Rates:

Conditioning, training and showing

for Halter and Performance Classes: $200.00 per month per horse.

This includes feed, hay, supplements, worming and hoof trimming.

Owner is responsible for :

veterinary expenses

specialized farrier work

All show entry fees

"at-show" stall fees

"at-show" shavings

Any tack required (blankets, sheets, halters, sweats, etc.)

A hauling fee of $0.25/mile per owner will be assessed when traveling to the shows.

Motel expenses will be divided between all of the owners we are showing for at each particular show.

There will be a $25.00/horse per month DISCOUNT for more than one horse in training with us.
