Bizzaro Bandit

In May after we had bought Yukon, we went to the Pet Expo that was in St. Paul. There was a ferret show too. We couldn't believe how BIG some of the ferrets  were. By this time we were members of the Ferret Forum, a mailing list for ferret lovers. I sent a letter wondering where we could get a large dark eyed white.
Elle Jensen wrote back directly to me. Elle is a ferret breeder and lives with her family in Michigan. We wrote back and forth for a bit and finally decided when we could meet and look at her ferrets.
Larry took one look at Bizzaro Bandit and fell in love. So Bizzy came home with us. This was June 12, 1997. Bizzy's birthday is March 16, 1995. He was two years and three months old when we bought him.
Bizzy fit in well with Yukon and Sophie, but was a little quiet with us. We finally figured out that he is deaf. He finally accepted us as his people and is a real sweetheart. When he was at the vet in October of 1997 he weighed in at 3.8 pounds and he didn't have his winter coat or weight yet.  Bizzy likes to play with balls, tennis balls, soft balls, almost every kind of ball there is, he likes. He stashes "his" balls in places he thinks they should be, like behind the futon or in a corner that he is fond of. It's fun to watch him put all the tennis balls away after I decide to pick them all up and put them in a pile.
For Christmas last year they all got a tube of tennis balls among other things.
Bizzy is a good one to introduce "new" ferrets to, because he is so gentle.
