Ena & Steve at Desert View

Desert View is located at the east end of the Grand Canyon National Park. We don't generally drive out this way when we go home but we decided to play tourist and take our time this trip.

The Tower at Desert View was designed by Mary Jane Colter, and is an interesting and beautiful structure. For $0.25 you can climb to the top and take in the view (it's worth it).

View from Desert View

The view of the east end of the Grand Canyon includes the side canyon down which the Little Colorado River flows. Once you leave the Park you drive through the Navajo Indian Reservation where you can buy all sorts of arts and crafts created by the locals, including beautiful pottery, jewelry, and rugs. A pretty cool overlook of the Little Colorado River is located on the Res' just east of the Park.
