The Charming Yosemite Chapel
|
The Yosemite Chapel is one of, if not the, oldest surviving buildings in Yosemite Valley. Charming inside, with old-fashioned pews and kneelers, the Chapel was an intimate setting in which Chris and Lesley exchanged their vows. In accordance with tradition, after the wedding ceremony Chris and Lesley rang the Chapel bell.

Queen Elizabeth has stayed here, and it was a wonderful venue for the wedding reception. The festivities were held in a private wing with soaring bay windows, just off the Great Room of the hotel. Guests could sit inside or out and enjoy breathtaking views all around. The food was delicious (I was partial to the eggplant lasagne), and we liked it so much, Mom, Dad, Steve and I went back for dinner the next night!

Cutting the Cake

I had a great view of the Cake Cutting festivities. After cutting the first piece, Chris and Lesley *nicely* fed each other a bite of the delicious confection.
