Testing of KIWIGREEN for ZR 5800 is now complete:

Results are in summary:

1. The KIWIGREEN battery pack will drive your Zaurus 5800 for over 1 week
with a PCMCIA modem on board.

2. You can drain down the INTERNAL (alkaline x 2 or lithium AA) and still
continue using the Zaurus without replacing the internal cells.

3. We short out the KIWIGREEN battery pack for 36 hours using a nail and
plyers. This direct short did not damage the cells at all. Our safety
switching had done it's job well! We recharged cells ( they did not need
much) with the AUTOSMART charger. In 45 minutes KIWIGREEN was back in full
charge with no damage to cells.

Benefits:

If you calculate out the cost of batteries - lithiums or alakaline, payback
period is very quick. We estimate on NZ prices of dry cells it is:

(a) 10 weeks to cover cost of battery pack.
(b) 4 weeks to cover the bag cost.

We are very happy with the final results and hope all you happy ZR 5000, ZR
5700 and ZR 5800 users are too!
